Terms and Conditions
All clients must agree to the following terms and conditions when hiring from `Olde Crocks Vintage Hire'. It is the clients responsibility to take care of the crockery and make others involved in the event aware of these terms and conditions.
By signing a hire agreement with Olde Crocks, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions:
The hire period is for 3 days - delivery the day before your event, the day of the event and collection the day after. Longer periods may be arranged on request for an additional charge.
All hired items remain the property of Olde Crocks at all times and are solely the responsibility of the hire throughout the hire period until collection. This includes loss and/ or breakage.
Booking, payment and damage deposit
A non refundable deposit of 25% of the total hire cost is required to secure your booking and cover cancellation.
Final payment is required 14 days before the event. Payment can be made by online bank transfer (details on request) The items will not be delivered unless payment has been received and cleared.
In addition to the hire cost a refundable `damage' deposit of 25% of the total hire cost is also payable upon payment of your total balance.
This deposit will be refunded in full unless damage, loss and/or breakages occur. Damaged and broken items must be returned to Olde Crocks carefully wrapped to avoid injury.
If there are no issues with the items after a post collection check has been done, the damage deposit will be refunded in full within 7 days from the date of collection.
If however in the post collection check there is a breakage/loss to the items, a charge will be deducted from the damage deposit. If the total amount of breakages/loss exceeds the damage deposit the hirer will be invoiced accordingly within 7 days of the hired items being returned.
Our set-up service is available on request and is charged at £10 per hour. We Kindly ask that we can take photos of your event for marketing purposes.
All items are hired entirely at your own risk. Olde Crocks will accept no responsibility for any loss or injury to any person or property by the use of our hired items however caused and recommends all clients to purchase their own event insurance prior to hire.
All our china is in vintage condition and due to the age of the items some slight wear to the gilding and odd blemish is to be expected. There will be no chips or cracks to the pieces you hire.
Under no circumstances put the hired items in a microwave, dishwasher or oven.
No need to do the washing up! Being so old the china is very delicate and has to be washed and dried carefully by hand. Olde Crocks therefore offers a free washing up service as part of the hire package!
Please repack the hired items carefully in the packaging supplied, removing any excess food waste with kitchen roll beforehand.
Olde Crocks offers a free delivery and collection service within a 5 mile radius of our premises in Worcester and will charge 50p per mile on top of this to deliver and collect from further afield.
In the event of cancellation your booking deposit will be lost.
